  22. I work for IDT, in fact I am in charge of modems and connectivity, and
  23. I can say that whoever told you that we can guarantee a 28.8
  24. connection was lying to you.  There is no way in the world that any
  25. provider can guarantee 28.8 connections all the time.  So much of it
  26. is dependant on phone line conditions and the modem that you use to
  27. call in on.  I know quite a bit about configuring a modem and I rarely
  28. connect at 28.8. to my New York City numbers from my apartment but can
  29. get solid 28.8 connections to the same lines from New Jersey.  I wish
  30. I could promise 28.8 connection to everyone.  I can promise fast,
  31. reliable connects and good throughput.  
  32. I would like to find out who told you that we can guarantee 28.8
  33. connections all the time.  Please let me know if it was an IDT
  34. employee so that I can deal with this person.
