- I work for IDT, in fact I am in charge of modems and connectivity, and
- I can say that whoever told you that we can guarantee a 28.8
- connection was lying to you. There is no way in the world that any
- provider can guarantee 28.8 connections all the time. So much of it
- is dependant on phone line conditions and the modem that you use to
- call in on. I know quite a bit about configuring a modem and I rarely
- connect at 28.8. to my New York City numbers from my apartment but can
- get solid 28.8 connections to the same lines from New Jersey. I wish
- I could promise 28.8 connection to everyone. I can promise fast,
- reliable connects and good throughput.
- I would like to find out who told you that we can guarantee 28.8
- connections all the time. Please let me know if it was an IDT
- employee so that I can deal with this person.
